Clorinda Temple, a graduate of Vesper George School of Art, Class of
1943, enjoys drawing and painting nature. She drew the illustration of the
chickadee for this site.
She enjoys listening to the
birds as she works in her garden of peonies, iris, wild phlox, shasta
daisies and other plants. The friendly chicadee is a favorite bird,
though the cardinals and bluejays come a close second. A bird that is
not often praised but is appreciated by Clorinda are the crows that spend
time in the tall fir tree that spreads over her driveway.
